EVENT: BLUEBELL RAILWAY
We hosted an IPS/Postfield Systems Christmas Special Promotional day at the Bluebell Railway in East Sussex. Our customers were treated to a 3-course meal aboard one of the only genuine Pullman trains in the world.
The Bluebell Railway's Golden Arrow Pullman is the result of countless thousands of hours of painstaking restoration work, undertaken mostly by volunteer working members of the Bluebell Preservation Society.
Each carriage has been restored as closely as possible to the condition in which it first entered service in the 1920's and 1930's. The fact that the trains are still fulfilling the purpose for which they were built, represents the highest ideals of Railway Preservation.
 
TRAIN MASS DETECTORS FROM POSTFIELD SYSTEMS
Our Train Mass Detector (TMD) has a number of applications. Our product was originally designed as part of our Driver Only Operation (DOO) CCTV System to extend the life of the monitor. More recently, it is being used to trigger train annoucements on the London Underground Network, e.g. 'Please mind the gap'. Why choose our TMD?
- The unit was granted a Network Rail Certificate of Acceptance in February 2003
- It is tolerant of a wide range of rolling stock and train profiles
- Enclosed in an IP65 rated unit
- A wide range of TMD bracketry is available
- Available in most RAL or standard BS4800 colours
